Leadership is about inspiring and facilitating grade-level, content, or campus-wide teams who are working toward established goals or vision. A leader’s main goal is to provide support and feedback while working alongside the team, remove barriers to their success, and provide opportunities to teams and teachers for continued professional growth. Successful educational leadership strengthens and supports each teacher and team by cultivating and building intentional relationships, where trust and respect are at the forefront. By establishing this culture of trust, a leader should be able to influence, motivate, inspire, and mentor their team successfully. Leadership should drive each teacher and team toward their goals and vision, while also cultivating rising leaders.
